8.25. The Dome That Bent Time Wrong
(Location: Underground Chamber Below Hiroshima Radio Dome Replica)
Description:
Deep beneath the replica dome—built as an echo of the one that once stood in Hiroshima—they found a chamber humming with inversion. The stairs curled backward. The lights flicked in reverse, illuminating moments just past. “It’s not a simulation,” Juna said, “it’s a memory rerun.” Judai walked slowly, and his footprints vanished behind him. At the center stood a viewing platform where film ran backward through a sideways projector. It showed them celebrating something they hadn’t yet done. “A victory we might deserve,” said Juna. The dome cracked above them. They fled upward, emerging into night that felt like morning.

Very Short Story:
Judai watched his past self descend the stairs as he stood still. “I don’t remember that coat,” he said. Juna replied, “That wasn’t this you.” The projector flickered—then paused. They saw the moment before grief, the second before breath. “This place is paused forgiveness,” she whispered. The film jammed. Everything went dark. Then light returned—but different. They had returned, but not entirely the same.
