Description:
Beneath a forgotten stairwell in Osaka’s Civic Theater lies a corridor where confessions are hung like art—transcripts of failed votes, guilt over zoning decisions, or simply lost neighborhood rituals. Each is encased in glass. Juna reads one aloud: *“I was appointed, but I never served.”* Judai photographs another: a boundary map of a ward that doesn’t exist. At the end of the corridor, a curved wall pulses slightly, recording new entries in Braille. There is no guard, no archive, no visitor log. Just a floor lamp flickering above a sign: “Confessions do not require forgiveness.” The gallery exists to store memory, not absolve it. Those who add their stories do so knowing they may never be heard—but never be lost.
