11.5. The Mirror That Echoed Someone Else’s Reflection
(Location: Summit Glass Array, North Signal Path)
Description:
A metal tripod holds a single round mirror, tilted precisely to reflect the northeastern sky. Visitors are warned: “What you see is not you.” Juna looked and saw herself, older, holding no book. Judai saw only fog—then briefly, someone standing beside him. No one was there. The mirror responded to altitude, not presence. And memory, not light. Its surface showed images cached by echo, transmitted by earlier witnesses. They called it “backward light.” On certain days, the mirror showed no one. On others, it repeated someone long gone. On one occasion, a frog stared back.

Very Short Story:
Judai leaned closer and saw himself waving goodbye. “That never happened,” he said. Juna shook her head. “It might.” She reached out, but the surface stayed dry. No touch. No warmth. Just signal. A reflection unclaimed. A film left out of sequence.
