==== 9.6. Broadcast Through the Frog Array ====
\\
(Location: Ridge South of Nobeyama, Signal Stone Line) \\

**Description:** \\
Along a hidden ridge lay a series of stone frogs, evenly spaced along an east-west axis. They were carved not as art, but as devices---small cavities on each back revealed copper coil traces and fossilized antenna wire. Judai traced the circuit by hand and felt warmth pulse up his arm. “This isn’t a sculpture,” he said. “It’s a broadcast chain.” Juna aligned the portable receiver and got a signal---mid-century military band static, then a clear voice: *All amphibians respond.* Each frog began to hum. Their collective song shifted into overlapping frequency tones that resolved into something close to a hymn. The hills around them seemed to sway slightly, like they were listening. A raven passed overhead, croaking in modulation. \\

**Very Short Story:** \\
Juna leaned close to one frog and whispered a word she hadn’t meant to say aloud: “Remain.” The next frog down the line whispered it back. Then the next. The message repeated all the way to the western edge of the ridge, where it faded into static. Judai recorded it all, but the file was empty. Still, when he replayed it, the room filled with the low chorus of frogs humming in tune. “They don’t use media,” said Juna. “They use position.” \\
