(Location: Ridge Above Suwa, Early Morning Signal Zone)
Description:
At dawn, the fog climbed up the ridge like breath returning to a sleeping hill. With it came sound—thin croaks rising into harmonic pulses. The frogs weren’t visible, but their signals appeared on Judai’s scanner as lines of interference: “—. —-. –.” repeated again and again. Juna translated it: “GN,” old military shorthand for “Good Night.” “Or: Go Now,” Judai added. As they moved higher, shapes became visible in the mist—frog silhouettes, large and small, suspended as if mid-leap. Some appeared embedded in the fog, frozen in croak. “They're transmissions,” Juna said. “Each one a sonic boundary.” They advanced slowly, voices muted by the wet air. And still the signals whispered goodbyes—or commands.

Very Short Story:
They reached the summit and paused. A single frog-shaped mistform hovered inches from Juna’s face. It opened its mouth, and instead of a croak, a melody emerged—one Judai recognized from an old shortwave station. “We’ve been receiving it backwards,” he said. The fog began to retreat, taking the frog-shapes with it. On the ground, a wet circle marked the place they had stood. Juna stepped into it and said, “Broadcast complete.”
