(Location: JAOC Deep Field Ritual Wing)
Description:
A chamber behind the observatory’s eastern wing is labeled *RRP: Radiation Reverence Protocol.* The walls are lead-lined, yet the floor is glass, glowing faintly with long-decayed isotopes. In the center stands a low shrine: a hollow lead cube with a filmstrip inside—its emulsion long erased. Around it, twenty small monitors pulse silently. Juna reads the sign: *Radiation Worship was once informal. We formalized it when we understood how long it stays.* Judai kneels and finds a manual titled *How to Observe Particles as Prayers.* Each chapter ends with a single kanji: 循環 (cycle). A whisper issues from one vent: *Do not fear the rays. They remember better than you.* No control panel exists. The shrine updates itself by half-life.

Very Short Story:
Juna placed her palm on the glowing glass. A faint hum rose—not mechanical, but choral. Judai read aloud from the manual: “To pray is to be irradiated by belief.” A soft wind passed through the sealed room. The lead box pulsed once, and one of the monitors displayed an image: not a star, but a face. “It’s me,” Juna whispered, “from before I was born.” The emulsion inside the shrine darkened momentarily. They left a notebook offering on the cube. It slowly turned transparent. The glow didn’t fade, only changed frequency.
