**Description:** \\
There were once lakes beneath Shinjuku---mapped but never filled, excavated for war, left to collapse in on themselves. The “Lake Kings” were a nickname for administrators of water control systems turned logistics coordinators for forced displacement. This entry exists as a silent film reel, water-warped and half-missing. Judai finds the reel in a locked drawer in a former weather station. Juna threads it through a broken micro-projector. Flickers of strange processions: pipes used like borders, gushing water used to draw lines between groups. She narrates a silent scream. The last frame is marked with red ink: “FORGET.” In the next room, the building’s tap still runs, inexplicably. She drinks from it, slowly. There’s a taste she can’t name, but has known since childhood. Somewhere between metal and oath. \\

A sound followed---like dripping, like breathing. The tap in the hallway hissed. When Juna turned it, the water flowed backwards. For one second, it tasted like memory. Then, it vanished. That was their signal to leave. \\
