==== 3.7. Flag Without Fabric ====
\\
(Location: Monument Yard, Former Embassy District) \\

**Description:** \\
Mounted on a golden pole is a frame---empty, windless, holding no cloth. Yet every few seconds, an image flickers faintly in the air above it: a shifting flag-like symbol, seen only from certain angles. The flag changes color with mood, language, weather. No two viewers see the same one. Judai sees a red spiral inside a white circle. Juna sees a constellation of lost letters. An old plaque beneath reads: *For Those Who Couldn’t Agree.* People still gather here, saluting silence. “It’s the most flexible national symbol I’ve ever seen,” Juna remarks. “It represents disagreement as structure.” Judai sketches it, but the page remains blank. The flag resists capture. It is a nation only when disbelieved. \\

**Keywords:** \\
##fluid nationalism \\
##flag of perception \\
##symbolic paradox \\
##discord as identity \\
##invisible allegiance \\

**Very Short Story:** \\
Juna stared up at the frame where the flag wasn’t. The air shimmered with possibility, like heat over asphalt. Judai adjusted his glasses, trying to trace the flicker that seemed to spell his own initials in curling light. A group of silent tourists stood nearby, each facing in a slightly different direction, all saluting slightly different things. “Everyone here is loyal to something they can’t prove,” Juna whispered. She took a photo---only to find a blur, like motion inside stillness. The flag appeared only to those who didn’t need it. And when they turned away to leave, Judai caught a glimpse of it in her shadow: not a symbol, but a suggestion. That was how it signaled home. \\
