==== 3.23. Archive of Duplicate Foundings ====
\\
(Location: Vault 88, Manchurian Constitutional Redundancy Office) \\

**Description:** \\
Vault 88 stores only one kind of record: founding moments repeated unnecessarily. Every shelf holds alternative versions of the same national origin story---each declared a day later, an hour sooner, or by someone slightly different. “There are over four thousand recordings of the same speech,” says Judai, “none of them identical.” Juna opens a file: *Declaration 6-B (After Lunch Edition).* In one version, the founding occurs underwater; in another, mid-exile. Some versions contain contradictions. Others include footnotes like: *Please ignore previous founding.* “It was a backup system,” Juna notes, “but it became the archive itself.” The vault lights flicker. Judai wonders aloud: “What if this is where the real country began---lost in its need to be believed, again and again?” \\

**Very Short Story:** \\
Juna played five versions of the founding broadcast back to back. Each began with the same voice, but each concluded differently. In one, the speaker burst into tears. In another, he named the wrong nation. Judai found a note: *Do not destroy duplicates. They contain nuance.* They listened until the variations blurred. “This is the sound of desperation to be valid,” Juna said. They left one tape playing behind them---hoping maybe this was the one the future would believe. \\
