==== 25.21. The Nameless Cemetery Without Graves ====
\\
**Location:** Forest Margin, Near Odaka Ridge \\

**Description:** \\
Set into the base of a hillside northeast of town, this cemetery has no gravestones, no names, no dates. Just smooth stones, arranged in careful spirals on moss beds. There are no paths---only worn routes traced by countless silent walkers. Juna walks between the spirals and feels the absence---unrecorded lives, perhaps never begun. Judai points to a sign at the entry, worn to illegibility. The site predates the tsunami and the fallout zones, but no one remembers who placed the stones. Some say it’s a memory field: a place for those who were forgotten before they could be grieved. Every seven days, new spirals appear. No one sees who builds them. The place is watched, but not claimed. \\

**Keywords:** \\
nameless memorial, spiral stone patterns, Odaka non-graves, unmarked mourning, memory field \\

**Very Short Story:** \\
They came without speaking. Judai held his notebook like an offering. Juna counted the spirals---thirteen today. “Yesterday,” she whispered, “there were eleven.” The air tasted of salt and iron. A child passed between them, never looking up. “Did you see---” Judai began. “No,” Juna replied. The forest whispered names that had no sound. At the center of the field, a smooth black stone pulsed faintly in the shade. They didn’t touch it. They left a strand of hair, a thread, a tear. When they turned back, the path was gone. \\
