==== 13.17. -** ***Chalk Map of Unowned Land ====
\\
**Location:** Railway Switching Shed, Phobos-Kyoto Freight Line, Sector K \\
**Description:** \\
On the cracked wall of an abandoned switching shed, a chalk map persists. It has no borderlines, only cities labeled “Refused,” “Once,” and “Soon.” Judai studies it with the care of a cartographer tracing a whisper. Juna matches the symbols to ghost towns in Manchuria and former districts of Kyoto dissolved by reurbanization. In the map’s center: a square marked with no name, only a drawn door. A date is chalked beside it---one week from today. “Someone’s planning to open it,” says Juna. Tracks outside the shed lead nowhere. Yet the chalk lines pulse faintly, almost electromagnetic. This is not a map of ownership. It’s a diagram of futures no one asked for, but everyone inherits. The map erases itself hourly. \\

**Keywords:** \\
##unowned cartography \\
##Manchurian-Kyoto overlay \\
##futures as coordinates \\
##self-erasing maps \\
##freightline ghost topography \\

**Very Short Story:** \\
They copied the map onto a page of Juna’s book, but the ink bled into symbols they didn’t write. “It’s already moving,” she said. A gust of wind knocked over a paint can---inside, a second map was drawn on the rusting bottom. Judai held it up. The unnamed door now had steps. “We’re being summoned,” he whispered. Outside, the track lights blinked once. Then the chalk map vanished. Only the drawn door remained, now glowing faintly on the wall. “We have six days,” said Juna. “Or maybe we missed it.” Either way, the door had remembered them. \\
