==== 11.23. The Voice That Switched Sides ====
\\
(Location: Remote Relay Trail Switch 4A, Ridge South Sector) \\

**Description:** \\
There was once a simple switch controlling directional relay---left to north tower, right to south. Now the switch is rusted in the middle. But still, each hour, a voice plays on both sides. The voice, however, never repeats itself. Sometimes it is a command. Sometimes a lullaby. Sometimes a countdown. The voice doesn’t favor a side. It simply alternates allegiance. Juna sat on the left and heard, “Abandon protocol.” Judai on the right heard, “Resume.” “It’s divided,” she said. “Or doubling.” Judai replied, “It’s trying to say both. Because it was never meant to choose.” \\

**Keywords:** \\
##split-channel vocal unit \\
##relay indecision mechanism \\
##left-right contradiction voice \\
##abandoned protocol command \\
##non-choice transmission \\

**Very Short Story:** \\
They waited six cycles. The voice told a short story---broken across both sides. It was about a woman walking a mountain path with no exit. She split in two rather than stop. One version returned. The other became signal. \\
