==== 1.8. The Subway Helium Pause ====
\\
(Location: Marunouchi Line, Between Stations) \\

**Description:** \\
Halfway between two stations, the subway halts. The lights dim. Judai and Juna are the only passengers still seated. Everyone else stands to look at their phones. A voice announces a delay due to “helium decomposition.” Juna smiles faintly. In her notebook, she sketches a balloon, its string cut. The air feels different --- thin, lifting. Time dilates subtly, and the walls of the train reflect impossible versions of the passengers’ faces. Judai exhales and fogs the window, revealing a map beneath the surface --- a timeline of Tokyo re-written in gas. When the train resumes, no one remembers the stop. Only Judai and Juna know it happened. \\

**Keywords:** \\
##helium delay \\
##subway dilation \\
##gas timeline \\
##reflection distortion \\
##invisible stop \\

**Very Short Story:** \\
The announcement made no sense: “We will be paused for helium.” No one questioned it. The lights turned greenish. Judai traced the fog on the glass, revealing station names that had never existed. Juna closed her eyes and floated --- not in space, but in skipped sequence. The moment expanded, stretched, and released. The train resumed. She looked down: the balloon drawing now glowed. \\
